I cannot remember a time when I did not have a camera with me. I have always loved the outdoors, walking, hiking and exploring. Bringing my camera along feels as natural as the life and scenery I photograph.
Photography is my passion. I see the worlds natural beauty through a different “lens”, as a series of shots to be captured, framed, and shared. I love doing close-up macro photography, landscapes, reflections, old cars, barns, buildings and bringing them to life by capturing them from different angles and perspectives.
To hone my skills I have taken instruction from Stacey Lalonde at Cambrian College, and have attend workshops with Paul Cheviers at Canadore College, Peter Baumgarten on Manitoulin Island, Brian Merry in Chetticamp, and Don Komarechka in Barrie.
My work has been published in the Sudbury Northern Life, the North Bay Nugget, and used for the cover of the Sault Ste. Marie, Elliot Lake, and Algoma District Yellow Pages.
I was awarded 1st place in the Digitally Enhanced Photography category at the Massey Museum Art Show in 2016, then in 2017 was awarded 3rd place, while also being awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the public choice category the same year. Additionally I received two awards at the Centennial Museum of Sheguiandah on Manitoulin Island in 2016, and 1st place in 2017 in their Photography Category.
I have had my work featured in a solo show at the Timber Village Museum in Blind River entitled Route #17, and have had my work juried into the Arts on the Dock Artisan Show on St. Joseph’s Island in 2018, the SciArt Show hosted by Laurentian University in 2020, and participated in the inaugural photo walk at the SnoLab with my work from the walk now featured at the McEwen Architecture School in Sudbury.
I have been a featured artist at a number of venues and shows including The Gallery @ The Centre of Elliot Lake, Sainte-Marie among the Hurons in Midland, the Manitoulin Art Tour, and the La Cloche Show in Whitefish Falls.
Additionally I have participated as an artist at The Craft House in Espanola, the Create Hive in the New Sudbury and Northgate Malls, the Sylvan Circle Tour in Bruce Mines, Arts on the Trail in Elliot Lake, Friends of Killarny Park in Killarny, and Art under the Pavillion in Orillia.
My work may even be found in some of the offices and waiting rooms of professionals and businesses in Greater Sudbury and Elliot Lake.
